CM Yogi orders Dismissal of Police Officers involved in Serious Offences

On Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered the sacking of those Police Officers and other personnel who are involved in serious offences.

The CM while issuing the Order stated that these actions of Policemen is not acceptable at all.

“The tainted personnel shall not be deputed to important posts in the field. Recently there have been complaints of some police officers/personnel indulging in illegal activities. This is not acceptable at all,” stated the CM.

Adding to it, the CM stated, “There should be no place for such people in the police department. Identify such people with proof and provide a list. Action will be taken against everyone as per rules.”

The Order came following the incident of death Manish Gupta.

Manish Gupta who was a businessman from Kanpur, was found dead in a hotel room under mysterious conditions.

It is said that he died during a raid in the hotel room in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh which followed the suspension of six Police Officers.

“Six police personnel have been suspended for negligence during a raid on a hotel room in which one person was injured. He was later admitted to a hospital, but he died due to injuries,” stated the Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Gorakhpur.

On the other hand, his family claimed that he was lynched by the Police during the raid.

It should be noted here that the family of the deceased demanded that the matter should be transferred to Kanpur.

The family also demanded a compensation sum of RS. 50 lakhs and a job by State Government.
