The State Government of Kerala on Thursday faces the wrath of Kerala High Court regarding the dispute between the Orthodox and Jacobite faction.

The Court lashed out on the State because of the existing disputes as it was clearly directed by the Court to solve these clashes at the earliest.

Justice Devan Ramachandran calling out the State Government stated, “This adventurism in litigation has to stop now. I know the judges who have heard this case before had to face consequences. I am not afraid of that. My view will not change.”

“It’s about time the factions came together and resolved their differences. This has been going on for years. If you pass this on to the next generation, things could get dangerous”, added Justice Ramachandran.

The Court also called the top men of both the factions for the change and for the settlement.

While the Jacobite argued that they were restrained from entering their own Churches, the Court stated the only intention was to abide with the law and nobody is going to stop them.

The Court also scolded the factions for involving their respective devotees in the matter and further stated that the matter should be only settled between the parties.

The Court also called the destruction the tombs in between of ongoing clashes, a shameful act.

The case came in light when a Petition was filed by Orthodox Community asking for the takeover of six Orthodox Churches which currently is under the control of Jacobite.

For now, the High Court has scheduled the next hearing on October 5.
