Absconding tainted Advocate finally surrenders before Mangalore Court

Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) of Lokayukta and Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) K S N Rajesh, a tainted Advocate finally surrendered before a Mangalore Court. He had been absconding ever since the complaint was filed.

He arrived in an ambulance and presented himself before the III Judicial Magistrate First Class Court.

The charges against him were of sexually harassing a Law intern and threatening her. He even went on to threaten her friend to not reveal the information. Two cases were registered against the accused in the Women’s Police Station in Mangaluru on October 18.

On November 09, the city’s Police issued a Look Out Circular against the accused. The Look Out Circular was issued to prevent him from fleeing the country. The Police even froze his bank accounts.

After the First Information Report was registered against the accused, the Karnataka State Bar Council (KSBC) took suo moto cognizance of the complaints against Special Public Prosecutor Rajesh K S N in Women’s Police Station in Pandeshwar. He was suspended after that.

After the Accused surrendered, he was remanded to Judicial Custody. The Court in Mangalore is set to hear his main Bail Petition on December21.

Given the sensitive nature of the case, a senior officer, Assistant Commissioner of Police (South) Ranjith Bandaru, has been made the investigating officer.
