Citing an undisclosed US intelligence report, The Wall Street Journal reported that 3 researchers from Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) sought hospital care in November 2019, months before the Covid-19 pandemic was disclosed by China.

The World health organization’s decision making body is expected to discuss next phase of an investigation into the origins of COVID-19.

While the National Security Council’s spokesperson made no comments on the report, he said that Biden administration has always continued to raise serious questions on the origin of the virus within People’s Republic of China.

The spokesperson further added that the US government was working with WHO and other members to evaluate the pandemics origin that is completely free from interference.

While the US government continues to hype the lab leak theory, the China’s foreign ministry noted that a WHO led team has already clarified that lab leak theory was extremely unlikely after the team visited the Wuhan virology institute in February.

The trump administration blamed that the virus escaped from the Chinese Lab which apparently Beijing has denied.
