Uddav Thackeray is currently the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, he was born on 27 July,1960 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is politically affiliated to Shiv Sena.
BACKGROUND: Before Uddhav Thackeray was confirmed as Shiv Sena’s successor, no one outside the party knew him. Within the party, it was clear that Uddhav Thackeray was not involved in politics and was using wild images. Uddhav Thackeray is an avid photographer and an annual exhibitor who shows that his effort is normal. He was given the task of running the party during the BMC elections in 2002 and Shiv Sena did well. It was the first time anyone had seen Uddhav Thackeray’s headship and political panache.
UPBRINGING: Uddhav Thackeray was born on July 27, 1960 as the youngest child of politicians Bal Thackeray and the three sons of his wife Meena Thackeray. He studied at Balmohan Vidyamandir and graduated from Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art with pictures as his main subject. In 2002, Thackeray began his political career as a campaign to strengthen Shiv Sena’s campaign in the Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections in which the party performed well.
In 2003 he was elected as the current President of Shiv Sena. Uddhav took over as chief editor of Saamana (the daily Marathi newspaper published by Shiv Sena) in 2006 and resigned in 2019 before becoming prime minister of Maharashtra. The split between Shiv Sena occurred when his cousin Raj Thackeray left the party in 2006 to form his own party called Maharashtra Navnirman Sena.
WALK OF LIFE: Before Uddhav Thackeray was announced as Shiv Sena’s successor, no one except the party knew about him. Even within the group it was known that Uddhav Thackeray had no interest in active politics and preferred to take pictures of wildlife. For the first 40 years of his life, Uddhav Thackeray left his father’s party and chose to make his name in a completely unrelated field.
She is an avid photographer and the annual exhibitions showcasing her work are the same. He was given the task of running the party during the 2002 Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation election, also known as the BMC election, and Shiv Sena did very well.
It was the first time anyone had seen Uddhav Thackeray’s leadership and political splendor. He started working closely with the party, and in 2004, Balasheb Thackeray announced him as the next Chief of Staff, replacing him with Raj Thackeray, who was expected to replace Balasheb Thackeray.
MAJOR INITIATIVES TAKEN: Uddhav Thackeray has undertaken a review of state-owned enterprises with a view to providing local people with more jobs. At a meeting at the Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai, he said the priority of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government would be to provide rural youth with more jobs under its industrial policy by creating high-quality government jobs. He said the revised policy would focus on building a skilled workforce by providing the necessary training and skills set-up.
Review of the industrial policy summit, drawn by the previous regime, was attended by Minister of Industry Subhash Desai, Secretary-General Ajoy Mehta, CM Secretary-General – Bushan Gagrani, Industry Secretary Hardish Kamble, and P. Anbalagan, MIDC chief executive officer.
He instructed the department of industry and officials to arrange for the establishment of an international exhibition center in Mumbai or Navi Mumbai.
The policy, introduced by his predecessor Devendra Fadnavis and will take effect on April 1, 2019, aims to attract more than 10 lakh crore investments and create about 40 jobs by 2023-24.
CAREER TIMELINE/POSITON HELD:

In 2019, the Prime Minister, Maharashtra. Uddhav Thackeray became the first member of the Thackeray family to settle in any state. He was sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Maharashtra on 28 November 2019.
CONTROVERY/CASES: In 2011, Uddhav threatened Sanjay Nirupam, breaking his teeth over Nirupam’s statement to the North Indians of Mumbai. He said this after Nirupam said at a meeting that they could bring them to stand if they wanted to.
On October 1, 2016 he had to apologize for a controversial cartoon that ridiculed the Maratha community. The cartoon was published on September 25 on the “Saamana” and “Saamana duplicates” series
