REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENT- Prahlad Singh Patel is the founder of the Seva Sansthan Masandha tehsil. This organization conducts various blood donation and eye donation camps and also various classes for educating poor children and personality development courses. He also promotes value based vegetarian lifestyle and complete prohibition. Fully developed towards the Indian culture, development of rural areas, farmers, sports.


Prahlad Singh Patel is an Indian politician who is the current minister of culture & tourism, since 30th May 2019. He is politically affiliated to Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).

BACKGROUND – Prahlad Singh Patel is a BJP represent who was elected for the first time from Madhya Pradesh. In May, 2019 he came the minister of Culture and Tourism. He was elected to the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the parliament from Damoh, MMadhya Pradesh in the 2019 general election as a member of the Bhartiya Janata Party.

UPBRINGING & EDUCATION – Prahlad Singh Patel was born in Narsinghpur. He has a B.Sc LLB and M.A (Philosophy). He was educated at Adarsh Vigyan Mahavidyalaya and U.T.D Rani Durgawati University, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh

WALK OF LIFE- Prahlad Singh Patel was interested in politics since a very early age. He started off with being the President of the student’s union in Jabalpur government science college, Madhya Pradesh.

He went on to become the general secretary of the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan. He has also completed two terms of parikrama of the holy river of Narmada.


Developed infrastructure in circuits like tourist parks and tourism clusters

Rural circuit has been identified as one of the thematic circuit for development with an objective to develop basic infrastructure for show casing rural sites and the culture of the country to the tourists

He also took initiative in reviving tourism and said that medical tourism is expected to rise in the post-pandemic times

2003 He was inducted into the cabinet as Union Minister of State, Ministry of coal

2004 He lost the 2004 elections from Chhindwara to Kamalnath of INC

2011 He was the National President, Bhartiya Janata Mazdoor Morcha for three years

2014 He became a member of the Public Undertakings, Committee on government assurances, standing committee on rural development, executive council of

V.V Giri National Labor Institute and consultative committee, Ministry of Labor and Employment. He was also re-elected to the Lok Sabha

2019 He was subsequently appointed as Minister of State (Independent charge) of the ministry of culture; minister of state of the ministry of tourism

CONTROVERSIES/CASES – There was a lot of controversy in the press when his son, was arrested in a charge of rioting and an attempt to murder.
