Mahendra Singh Sisodia was born in a small village in the Guna district of Madhya Pradesh. His father, Rajendra Singh, was a farmer. He was an agriculturist before entering into politics. He has a keen interest reading books. He deeply respects Jyotiraditya Scindia and he was one of the 22 MLAs who left Indian National Congress (INC) because Jyotiraditya Scindia resigned INC.
Previously, Mahendra Singh Sisodia was the member of Indian National Congress (INC). He achieved his first feat in his political journey when he was elected as Member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Bamori assembly constituency in 2013.
Later, he left Indian National Congress and joined Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) as Jyotiraditya Scindia left Indian National Congress. He was elected for the second time as a member of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly in 2018. Sisodia took the oath of Cabinet Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development on 25/12/2018 in then Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s Cabinet.
