Lal Chand Kataria was born 12/06/1968 is an Indian politician who is member Indian National Congress. Before being a politician, he was an agriculturist. He initiated many Social And Cultural Activities one of which is organizing medical camps in the rural area and educating the poor rural children.
He likes to read books. He has a keen interest in sports and had played kabaddi at national level.
Katariya was elected as member of 15th Lok Sabha from Jaipur Rural, Rajasthan in 2009. He became the Minister of State, Defense in the Second Manmohan Singh ministry. Later elected as a Member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from Amer Constituency in 2003, a position he currently holds. He has been the cabinet minister of Rajasthan since the year 2018.

In 2012 when Katariya was appointed as State Defence Minister, he was being accused of murdering college owner, Bansidhar Jat. His son, Rajendra Choudhary filed a special leave petition before Supreme Court alleging his claim. The case still pending.
