BACKGROUND – Karam Shyam is an Indian politician who is currently serving as Minister of PDS and Consumer Affairs, Weights and Measures, Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation of Manipur. He is Member of Manipur Legislative Assembly from Langthabal Constituency in Imphal West district. He had done Bachelor of Textile Engineering form Kanpur University in the year 1987. He is also a Social worker.
MAJOR INITIATIVES– He launched schemes for welfare of widows from Langthabal A/C by formation of Widow Welfare Association. He is taking health care and education of their children and providing food continually.
