Supreme Court on 11th January 2021 hard delivered “harsh” words to the centre represented by Attorney General Tushar Mehta on the matter of the farmers protests.

A three-judge bench of CJI SA Bobde, Justice AS Bopanna and Justice V Ramasubraminiam have decided to deliver their order(s) on the subject today, 12th January.

In a cutting remark to the centre, CJI Bobde told the Attorney General that people were suffering in the cold and suiciding and the matter only seems to be getting worse without any resolution from the government’s side and that they had been more than patient with the government.

The CJI informed the AG that in absence of centre telling the court of any hold in implementation of laws the courts will be doing it to maintain the peace.
