On Friday, a firing incident occurred in the Saket district court complex, which left a woman in her 40s injured with bullet wounds. The shooter was a suspended lawyer, who had several cheating cases registered against him, according to the police.

The shooting took place around 10:30 am, with the accused firing four to five rounds in the court premises. The victim, identified as M Radha, suffered two gunshot injuries, one in the abdomen and another in the hand, and was immediately taken to Max hospital in Saket, where she is now in a stable condition.

The accused has been identified as Kameshwar Prasad Singh, also known as Binod Singh, who had been suspended by the Bar Council due to cheating cases filed against him. It was reported that he had given Rs. 25 lakhs to the victim, but when he did not receive the money, he fired shots at her, injuring her in the process, before fleeing the scene.

According to the police, the accused had cases filed against him under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for allegedly cheating the woman victim and an advocate named Rajendra Jha. Meanwhile, teams have been formed to capture the accused, who is currently at large.

In response to the incident, Delhi Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj criticized Lieutenant Governor VK Sakena, alleging that law and order in Delhi was deteriorating under his tenure. In a tweet, Bharadwaj claimed that since the LG took over, the law and order situation in Delhi has worsened, and the police are involved in a scam worth Rs. 350 crores.
