Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar absolutely dismissed the demand for some relaxations in the draconian Anti-Liquor Law for outsiders.

CM Nitish Kumar while addressing public at Gopalganj as part of his ‘Samaj Sudhar Abhiyan’ noted that several people are against him, since he enforced total Ban.

Further CM Nitish sternly interrogated “Some people say people coming to Bihar from outside should be given permission to drink liquor. Do people from the other places visit Bihar to drink liquor? Why should we give permission to the outsiders?”

Furthermore, CM denied the suggestion by certain people for exemption on medical grounds for the Alcoholics.

CM Nitish also dismissed his Detractor’s claim about the concerned fall after the enforcement of total prohibition in Tourist Footfall in Bihar.

CM Nitish observed “The Tourist footfall will never be affected. In the last two years, the tourists avoided coming to the state due to Covid restrictions. Till 2019, the number of Tourists visiting Bihar kept increasing even after the enforcement of prohibition. More than 2 crore Tourists arrived in the State in a year.”
