Fifteen FIRs registered and over Forty-five people detained after several candidates appearing for a recruitment exam conducted as a part of the Delhi District Court recruitment drive were found using unfair means.
The examination was being conducted by an outsourced Agency for the post of peon, orderly, dak peon, chowkidar, and sweeper in Delhi District Courts in two shifts at 41 examination centers in Delhi.
District Courts Recruitment Cell sources said,
“On account of active vigilant supervision by a team of judicial officers and administrative staff of the High Court of Delhi and Delhi District Courts, several candidates using unfair means such as Bluetooth devices, etc. were caught.”
According to sources from the district courts recruitment cell, the FIRs have been filed under Sections 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 120B (criminal conspiracy), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code. Two FIRs mention the offenses of impersonation as well. The Source said-
“Complaints with the police in all such matters have been lodged and persons found indulging in such activities have been handed over to the police for further legal action,”
They further added-
“The recruitment committee has taken a very strict view of the matter and directed the representatives of the outsourced agency to submit a detailed report in this regard. Further course of action in the matter is being contemplated,”
