Telangana High Court on Tuesday reserved order on a petition filed by YSRC rebel MP Kanumuri Raghu Ramakrishna Raju seeking transfer of his two criminal petitions, from the Court of the principal judge for CBI cases, Hyderabad to any other Criminal Court of the State.
The matter was adjudicated by Justice K Laxman.
The plea demands Bail cancellation granted by CBI court to Chief Minister of Andhara Pradesh Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRC MP V. Vijayasai Reddy in the case of alleged retaliation.
It was stated in the petition “The CBI court allowed Vijayasai Reddy, one of the main accused in Jagan’s illegal assets case, to leave the country while the court’s trial was still on.”
It was further argued by RRR in his petition that a couple of weeks ago Sakshi Media posted on social media that the CBI court has cancelled the bail cancellation petition. How did they get to know about the court’s verdict even before it is announced? All these developments are suggesting that the CBI Court is not investigating the case in a rational manner.
In furtherance of the above arguments the Telangana High Court countered, “It is common that Courts permit the accused individuals to fly to other countries under certain circumstances. The same happened with Vijayasai Reddy’s case. You (Raghu Rama – the petitioner) should have consolidated more proofs to ask for transfer of the case from one court to another. How can you doubt the Court itself?”
The CBI Court is likely to pronounce its verdict today on Raju’s plea for cancellation of Bail in respect of Jagan and Vijaya Sai.
