TDP MP opposes Andhra Chief Secretary’s extension

The TDP Rajya Sabha MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar has written to Ministry of Personnel opposing extension of Andhra Chief Secretary Adityanath Das accusing him of being booked by CBI’s quid pro quo case against CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Kumar stated that Das was accused of extending favors by allotting additional 10 lakh litres of water to India Cements causing loss to the Andhra Government and that nine others including Das were booked by CBI for corruption. The Supreme Court has also served a legal notice to him regarding the same.

The CBI and ED are probing into accusations of Hetero and Aurobindo Pharma Companies investing INR 27.25 crores in Jagathi Publications for allotment of 150 acres at Pharma Special Economic Zone at Jadcherla in Mahabubnagar district by YSR regime during 2004-2009.

It was alleged by CBI and ED that Aurobindo transferred some lands to its sister concern Trident Life Sciences and charged the companies under the PMLA attaching assets worth INR 51 crore of the companies. The CBI also further has filed 11 chargesheets in the case.

At present, Jagan is out on bail in a CBI case for misappropriation of funds after a 16-month jail stint in 2011.
