Shahjahanpur Court locked down for 2 days after 3 COVID-19 positive accused were brought

After three COVID-19 positive accused persons were arrested and produced in front of a Shahjahanpur court by the police, it is closed down for the next 48 hours.

The accused were found and arrested from the district’s police station areas of Nigohi, Sidhauli and Kotwali respectively. They were produced in front of a magisterial court on the 20th of January.

They were remanded into judicial custody in subsequent order by the court to the Shahjahanpur Jail, stated the jail superintendent Rakesh Kumar on the 21st of January.

According to the norms laid down, all three were tested for the virus and were found to be infected, Mr. Kumar informed and added that in consequence, they were shifted to be given treatment to the Government Medical College.

During this time, the judiciary chief of the Shahjahanpur district ordered for the magisterial court in which the infected persons were produced to be closed for a full 48 hours from the 21st. This information was given by the Central Bar Association’s general secretary, Mr. Anish Trivedi to the press.

Dr. Pooja Pandey, the PRO of the Government Medical College, stated that the three COVID positive accused had been admitted to the coronavirus patients’ ward and they were being treated there.
