On May 29, 27-yr old Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in Mansa district of Punjab. A day just before this incident the Punjab government had withdrawn the security which was provided to him.
The CBI has requested the Interpol for issue of Red Corner Notice against Satinderjeet Singh alias Goldy Brar the mastermind behind the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala. Meanwhile, CBI countered the statement released by Punjab Police in the Moose Wala’s killings
On May 30, as per CBI it was communicated via an email received from Bureau of Investigation, Punjab Police requesting to issue Red Corner Notice against Goldy Brar. A letter was also attached in the email of May 19 showing that earlier also Punjab Police has made the same request.
“In the present matter, the proposal for issuance of Red Corner Notice (RCN) against Satinderjeet Singh alias Goldy Brar the hardcopy of the same proposal was received from Punjab Police in IPCU, CBI, New Delhi on May 30, 2022” CBI said.
On May 19, the such request were made in connection of two FIR registrated against Brar at Faridkot Police Station in 2020 & 2021.
On May 30, he also took the responsibility of killing Moose Wala in a Facebook Post.
Gody Brar is a native of Sri Muktsar Sahib. He went to Canada in 2017 on a student visa and now became an active member of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. The Moose Wala was murdered as a revenge taken for killing of Akali youth leader Vicky Middukhera which took place last year.
Earlier, Moose Wala got the ticket from Congress to fight the election held few months ago. The police found 30 empty bullet cases near the car of Moosewala. The attackers were unidentified.
CBI clarified that Red Corner Notice is neither pre- requisite nor necessary when persons exact location is known prior to extradition. From issuance of Red Corner Notice all the 195 members of Interpol will be in alert to detain the person wanted by requesting country.
