PSI Recruitment Scam: CID has Arrested BJP Leader Divya Hagaragi

In the Case of Police Sub-Inspector Recruitment Scam of Karnataka Crime Investigation Department had arrested Divya Hagargi who is a Bharatiya Janata Party Leader.

The Police sources informed that Rajesh Hagargi Divya’s husband had already arrested by the Crime Investigation Department but she escaped to Pune in Maharashtra and hide their from where she got arrested. This is 18th Accused in this Case who got arrested.

The denied the any association with Divya although she was the President Bharatiya Janata Party women unit and Police of Kalaburgi confirmed that she was active in the party. After declaration of Police Sub-Inspector result State Home Minister Araga Jnanendra went to her.

Divya and her husband runs Jnana Jyothi Institution her name came out when 7th rank holder of the Police Sub-Inspector exam Veeresh was probed by Crime Investigation Department and it was found that he scored 121 marks although he attempted 21 questions only. His centre was Jnana Jyothi Institution and the Malpractice of institution came into light.

Veeresh was not only one but there are many other candidates of this institution involved in this Malpractice as according to the Police.

The fact also came out that CCTV of Jnana Jyothi Institution was not in a working condition during the exam and Recruitment wing selected Jnana Jyothi Institution as a centre although local Deputy Director of Public had made recommendation that this institution should not be made a centre.

The PSI exam was conducted on October and there were 54,041 students appeared for exam of a state for 545 Police Sub-Inspector posts. The results were declared in January.
