A case of custodial Gang rape by Police Officials has been reported from Rajasthan. Plea has been filed in Delhi Court, Rohini to register FIR against the police officers.
Today, A Criminal Complaint under Section 190 read with 195A of Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 filled in the Court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mr. Babru Bhan, North West District Rohini Court seeking directions for Registration of FIR against the Accused Rajasthan Police Officers.
As mentioned in the plea, the police officials went to the victim’s house and took her with them in car. On being questioned by the victim’s mother, the officials said that they are taking Victim to Delhi’s Begumpur Police Station. The officials told the victim that she is being arrested with respect to an FIR lodged at Sri Vijaynagar Police Station of Sri Gnaganagar, Rajasthan. The victim continuously requested that she is not the one mentioned in the FIR.
Victim was later on shifted to another private car en route and was taken to a house in Rohini where she was Gang Raped by the Police officials in an unconscious state of Mind. After the heinous crime, as mentioned in the Plea, the Accused Rajasthan Police officials also took inappropriate photos of victim and made a video and threatened her on the pretext of leaking the same if she discloses to anyone about the crime.
The victim was sent to the jail, however, she got bail in October. It has been contended by the victim that her arrest was illegal and the arrest memo and other identification documents were fake and she was never taken to Delhi’s Begumpur Police Station for any interrogation.
It is reported that the victim since the incident is in a utter state of shock and depression. The counsel on behalf of the victim has requested the Court to take cognizance under Section 190 read with Section 195A of CrPC for registration of FIR under Section 376 C, 376D, 386, 389, 195A and 34 of CrPC.
