The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) filed a plea on 1st December 2020, challenging the bail granted to Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa in the drug case.

The defence replied to the plea and mentioned that there was a lack of record to prove that the magistrate knew the inability of the Special Public Prosecutor to attend the court.

It was further stated that the allegation made by the NCB is false, and the information of the bail was communicated.

The timeline was highlighted in the defence plea, and it was stated that the court was operational till 2:30 pm, and the investigating officer arrived at 3 pm.

According to the defence plea, the bail was granted in a just manner as all the facts were taken into consideration and it was also stated that the case is of a “small quantity of drugs.”

The NCB did not submit a reply to the bail pleas and did not make any submission during the hearing.

However, the NCB’s plea submitted against the bail in the special court said that the magistrate’s order was illegal and bad in law.

The NCB’s plea on this case is scheduled to be heard on 15th December.
