Madhya Pradesh HC announces Live Streaming of all Courtrooms

The Madhya Pradesh High Court announced the commencement of Courtroom Live Audio-Visual Streaming System (CLASS) and Integrated Video Surveillance System (IVSS) project, that enables live streaming of every courtroom from all Subordinate Courts under the High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur.

The testing phase will begin at District Court, Jabalpur and at Tehsil Court, Patan, followed by State-wide Project implementation.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court is the first to inculcate the principles of Transparency and Accountability, as laid down in Swapnil Tripathi vs Supreme Court of India, by live-streaming the proceedings of all its benches as well as the Subordinate Courts in the State.

The key features of CLASS and IVSS-

·      A 24*7 surveillance of gates, parking, building points, courtroom entrances etc. using advanced megapixel IP cameras.

·      Local as well as District Level Control Rooms for monitoring local/remote security.

·      Biometric (facial) Access Control for Judges’ chamber and data center

·      Use of Door Frame and Hand-held Metal Detectors for visitor screening

The Madhya Pradesh High Court also took an initiative to implement Wireless Secured Network Solutions in all three High Courts of Madhya Pradesh.

The said Network provides the users with Wi-Fi Access by login and authentication process, web-based management console to monitor and manage Wi-Fi Access, customizable reports for Wi-fi Access logs, etc.
