Ensuring a welcoming and hassle-free environment for all individuals involved in court proceedings is of utmost importance, emphasized Madhya Pradesh Chief Justice Ravi Malimath.

The Chief Justice made this observation during the virtual inauguration ceremony for infrastructural enhancements at district courts in Mandla, Morena, Narmadapuram, and Shahdol.

In his speech, Chief Justice Malimath emphasized that this responsibility should not be limited to child-friendly courts alone. All courts should strive to create an atmosphere that is conducive to justice and accessible to everyone.

The e-inauguration of the newly constructed buildings was attended by Justices GS Ahluwalia, Vishal Dhagat, Sunita Yadav, Amar Nath (Kesharwani), as well as other judges of the High Court and Principal District and Sessions Judges of the respective districts.

Chief Justice Malimath highlighted that e-inaugurations are a time-saving measure, avoiding the delays that can occur during physical inaugurations. This approach aims to enhance efficiency and benefit all stakeholders involved in the judicial process.

The infrastructural enhancements at the district courts include a 10-courtroom building in Mandla, featuring two courtrooms on each floor, along with a mediation room, meeting halls, and well-equipped office space.

In Morena’s District Court, four additional courtrooms, a malkhana, and a record room have been constructed, complete with a 10 KVA Solar system and other modern facilities.

Furthermore, two child-friendly courts have been inaugurated in Jaisinghnagar and Beohari, located in District Shahdol. These courts are equipped with courtrooms, chambers, waiting halls, and other facilities tailored to cater to the needs of children involved in legal proceedings.

Additionally, another child-friendly court was inaugurated in Sohagpur, District Narmadapuram.

This court provides a courtroom, chamber, waiting hall for child witnesses, a relatives’ hall, and other amenities to ensure a supportive environment for young individuals appearing as witnesses in legal matters.

The initiatives taken by the Madhya Pradesh High Court underscore their commitment to establishing a fair and inclusive judicial system, making justice accessible to all without any barriers.
