Life of all interim orders passed by all the tribunals and courts that fall under the jurisdiction of the Kerela High Court extended till 26th July 2021.
Earlier a full judge bench comprising of Chief Justice S Manikumar, Justice Shaji P Chally and Justice CT Ravikumar had ordered the extension till 13th July owing to the rampant increase in covid cases and lockdown restrictions.
Taking note of the government orders produced in Court by Advocate General K Gopalkrishna the state government had recategorized Local self-government institutions for the implementation of restriction and issued additional COVID-19 guidelines keeping the average weekly test positive rates in mind.
4 such categories on the basis of 7 days average test positive rates are as follows:
A: Average TPR below 5 percent (Areas with low spread)
B: Average TPR between 5 and 10 percent (Areas with moderate spread)
C: Average TPR between 10 and 15 percent (Areas with high spread)
D: Average TPR above 15 percent (Areas with Critical spread)
Kerela has been experiencing an increase in COVID-19 Positive Cases with the lockdown restriction being eased in certain areas the average test positive rate remains at around 10 percent as of July 13th.
