A Judge in New York City lifted a temporary pause on the Vaccine Mandate, this means that all the Teachers and other city worker must be vaccinated by Monday, or else lose their jobs.

As per CBS2’s Natalie Duddridge reports, City’s Officials and the Union Representatives filed into 80 Center Street to get a decision on vaccine mandates.

More than a month ago, Mayor Bill De Blasio tated, “All teachers must get the shot by September 27 or lose their jobs.”

The City’s estimations shows that 87% of teachers are already vaccinated along with 80% of all Department of Education workers. But now there is staffing concern, if employees refuses to get a shot it will lead to his/her termination, which would cause shortage as there aren’t enough teachers or substitute teachers, or health care staff in the hospitals.

However, this not the final decision on the vaccine mandate. The Union still can challenge it.
