Haryana CM’s video revealed for instigating BJP members to use criminal force against farmers

The Court on 06 December, Monday was informed that no cognizable offence was recorded against the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for reportedly instigating BJP members to use criminal force against the farmers for the incident that took place in Chandigarh.

The Police Officials told the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sachin Gupta that the videos of the Haryana CM giving provocative speeches in Chandigarh are out of Delhi.

“From the contents of the complaint and the alleged video attached with the complaint, no cognizable offence is made out. As per the complaint, the alleged video has been recorded in Chandigarh which does not fall in the jurisdiction of Delhi”, the Police submitted in their report.

The report by the Delhi Police was submitted in response to the Court’s earlier Order asking the status report of the FIR against the Haryana CM for provocative speeches on October 3.

The Court heard the Petition filed by the Advocate Amit Sahni, asserting that despite of his complaint to the Senior Officials of Delhi Police on October 22 but no response yet.

The Petition stated that the controversial video of the Haryana CM and BJP members was recorded while a meeting with the members of the “Kisan Morcha” at his residence on October 3 in Chandigarh.

The Charges put on Khatter are Section 153(giving provocation with intent to cause riot), 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence) and 505 (statements conducting to public mischief).

The video recorded states that the CM was instigating members to create 500-600-1000 volunteers in every district of north and west Haryana and be on edge to face sticks, imprisonment, which will eventually make them big leaders.

The petition is adjourned for the next hearing on 21 December.
