Gyanvapi Case: Allahabad HC Dismissed Plea Filed by Muslim Body

Varanasi Civil Court has clearly clarified that archaeological survey of India is allowed to do its survey at the disputed land and the Uttar Pradesh government will have to bear all the cost of survey.

The Allahabad High Court dismissed a Petition filed by Anjuman Intazamia Masajid, Challenging the Order of the Civil Judge that appointed an Advocate Commissioner in a Case related to the Worship of Shringar Gauri and the Protection of Idols of other deities on the premises of Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi.

The Civil Judge had also directed Advocate Commissioner Ajay Kumar to visit the Shringar Gauri site in the presence of both parties to prepare a Report on the actual Status and submit it to the Court.

It had asked the Advocate Commissioner to video-graph his actions and if required, seek the assistance of the Police.

The statue of Goddess Shringar Gauri is located within the outer wall of the sensitive Gyanvapi Mosque.
