An Anti-Corruption Court Convicted a Former Tehsildar Recovery for obtaining assets superfluous to income, acquiring assets without permission from Government and also procuring assets in benami transactions.
Further Special Anti-Corruption Judge Ritesh Dubey, Jammu condemned Janak Singh, son of Shankar Singh of the then Tehsildar Recovery, Jammu in a Corruption case.
Furthermore, Special Anti-Corruption Judge Ritesh Dubey stated “The instant case was registered on the basis of a verification conducted into the Allegations that the Convict had raised assets disproportionate to his known sources of income in the name of his family members and friends by indulging in Corrupt practices during his service career.”
Further after Probe, it came into light the Accused has established a residential house on a piece of land measuring more than 2 kanals at Shastri Nagar, Jammu and has instituted a Petrol Pump in the name of his family members.
It was highlighted that Janak Singh was found to have Allegedly consulted to acquisition of moveable and immovable properties containing land etc. in his name and in the name of his close relatives to hide his money.
The Prosecution was directed by Irshad Ahmed Sheikh, Addl. Public Prosecutor, Special Judge Anti-Corruption.
