A 24-year-old Illinois woman submitted a fake Covid-19 vaccination card to visit Hawaii without quarantining for 10 days as required.

The woman, Chloe Mrozak, arrived in Honolulu on August 23 on a Southwest Airlines flight.

The question on the authenticity of the vaccination card came across after airport screeners found a glaring error on it, which misspelled Moderna to Maderna.

Wilson Lau, a special agent of Hawaii Attorney General’s Investigation Division, wrote an email to a Delaware official who confirmed there was no vaccination record for the woman under her name and birth date.

The investigation agent, in addition to the woman’s suspicion card, checked her travel, stay information, which clearly indicated that the woman was totally a fraud.

The woman was arrested for such misrepresentation. She was charged for the violation of Hawaii State’s Coronavirus Emergency Proclamation.

The woman has been in custody since the arrest.

All the necessary documents have been submitted in a Court in Hawaii. In Court hearing on September 1, Chloe was granted bail and direction for paying a $2,000 fine.

The Court has posted the matter for further hearing after three weeks.
