Enforcement Directorate (ED) today issued a fresh summon and asked Rakul Preet Singh to join its probe in an alleged money laundering case.

The current case is revolving around the Tollywood (Telugu film industry) drugs case.

The Bollywood Actor Rakul Preet Singh has been asked to appear before the ED on December 19.

The actor had earlier in September last year appeared before the federal probe agency after being summoned as part of the probe in connection with a high-end drugs racket that was busted in the city in 2017.

It is reported that Enforcement Directorate (ED) had already interrogated Telugu director Puri Jagannadh and actor Charmee Kaur in the same case.

Earlier, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Telangana’s Prohibition and Excise department, had also probed the alleged drug-links with Tollywood, and had then grilled 11 people connected to the Telugu film industry including actors and directors besides the driver of one of the actor.

Some of the Tollywood personalities who were interrogated by the SIT were also asked to appear before the ED later. However, Rakul Preet was questioned by SIT then.
