The Delhi University Academic Council will meet on March 22 to Examine Modifications to the Admission Criterion now that the University has chosen to use the CUET beginning in the 2022-23 Academic Year.

The Academic Council  will meet to propose holding undergraduate admissions purely based on Central Universities Common Entrance Test Scores, thereby eliminating cutoffs.

The University Grants Commission decided on Monday to hold the first-ever required Common Entrance Exam for Undergraduate Admissions in all 45 Central institutions in the first week of July.

‘Minimum Criteria should be rephased as the candidates must have passed the Class XII examination or equivalent thereto from a Single Recognised Board,’ read the minutes of the meeting.

Meanwhile, according to authorities familiar with the situation, a substantial chunk of Delhi’s healthcare budget this year is going to be committed primarily to three projects: Infrastructure Growth, Emergency Money for Covid administration, and the provision of cloud-based health cards to citizens.

In other developments, the Delhi Police Special Cell has filed charges against a 47-year-old DRDO Scientist who was detained last December on suspicion of planting an IED and blasting a portion of the Rohini Court Complex.
