Delhi HC Issued Notice in Plea Seeking Action Against Fraudulently using ‘Judge’ Stickers on Vehicles

The Delhi High Court issued Notice on a Public Interest Litigation seeking Legal or Departmental Enquiry against those persons who are Fraudulently using printouts with the word ‘Judge’ pasted on their vehicles.

The Division Bench comprising of Acting Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Navin Chawla directed the Respondent, High Court Administration, to file it’s Reply within 4 weeks.

The Bench also orally directed the Respondents, to take apposite steps if the alleged Violations are found to be true.

The Court hearing a Plea alleging that the Fraudulent use of such stickers is a security threat as such vehicles are not stopped for frisking by the security staff.

The Petitioner has no other alternative but to knock the doors of this Hon’ble Court for issuance of Guidelines to be passed to all Judicial Officers of Delhi Courts subordinate to this Hon’ble Court to obtain Judge vehicle parking sticker only by complying guidelines contained in circular dated 11.09.2018 issued by office of Respondent no. 2 if they wish to obtain it,” the Plea adds.

The Court adjourned the matter till 18 November.
