DCGI tells Delhi High Court: Gautam Gambhir Foundation illegally stocked Covid medicine Fabiblu

The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) informed Delhi Court that Gautam Gambhir Foundation is guilty of procuring, stocking and distributing Covid-19 medicine Fabiblu to Covid patients despite having any authority to do so.

The DCGI after submitting a fresh report to the Court told that the foundation has committed the offence of stocking medicine under Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

The Delhi Government’s drug controller told the Court that necessary action will be taken against the foundation, drug dealers and any other cases brought in notice to them, without any delay.

The Court was further informed that MLA Praveen Kumar has also been found guilty of similar offences under Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

In conclusion, the Court directed the drug controller to submit the reports on further progress of the case within 6 weeks.

The matter is listed for further hearing on 29 July.
