A Suitable Boy’ being streamed on Netflix to check if kissing scenes in it were filmed in a temple and if it hurt religious sentiments. The examination prima facie found that these scenes are hurting sentiments of a particular religion.

A Suitable Boy, a Netflix series is in trouble. An Physical Complaint has been registered in In Palghar District against two Netflix officials for allegedly hurting religious sentiments By Bombay High Court Advocate Ashutosh J. Dubey & BJYM Leader Gaurav Kishor Dhodi, Palghar.

They have stared that this web series displayed upon Netflix by the Name: A Suitable Boy The clip, that is now doing the rounds of microblogging site along with cries of boycotting OTT platform Netflix, shows a Hindu character Lata Mehra (Taniya Maniktala) kissing her interfaith lover inside the premises of a temple.

They also said that, It has been quite evident from recent past that how OTT platforms are used for pushing personal agendas, creating disharmony, provoking violence, hurting religious sentiments. overall Acts which can be said to have potential to damage secular democratic structure of India.

Sadly we observe people abusing their Freedom of Speech and Expression under lot of wrong assumptions. 

Advocate Ashutosh J. Dubey Said, This Web Series which has come to his notice is vulgar, indecent and highly objectionable and they displayed obscene kissing act in any public and worship place (Hindu Temple). It is prima-facie apparent from the depiction of the Film that it is made and shared with malicious intentions, which attracts penal sanctions under Sec 153A, 294 and 295A of Indian Penal Code.

On the basis of a complaint filed by Advocate Ashutosh J. Dubey and BJP Leader Gaurav Kishor Dhodi at Vangaon (Palghar) Police Ststion, an FIR is being registered under section 153A, 294 and 295A (malicious acts to outrage and insulting the religious feelings and beliefs) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in Rewa
