BJP to start agitation for reservation across Maharashtra, says Pankaja Munde

Queency Jain –

BJP OBC leader Pankaja Munde, while holding a press conference in Pune, has stated that the party will hold an agitation on 26 June against the State Government and will file litigation in Court until the State Government resolves the issue of reservation for the OBC’s.

The decision of holding agitation comes after the political reservation given to the OBC’s was scrapped.

Munde addressed the issue of political reservation and had blamed the MVA Government for not working for the interests and the welfare of the people of the State.

Further, Munde stated in the conference that the MVA Government failed to make a strong argument in the Supreme Court which led to the cancellation of the political reservation and had doubted the intention of the government.

While advising the Government to set up a committee and collect the empirical data on the reservation, Munde stated that the party will hold agitation as decided in the meeting headed by former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
