Actor Dalip Tahil’s son arrested by Narcotic Control Bureau

Dhruv Tahil, Actor Dalip Tahil’s son has been arrested by the Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) in light of the on-going drug probe. Dhruv was said to have been in contact with an accused drug peddler.

Dalip Tahil, famously known for his works in movies like Bazigar, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Guilty is a celebrated star. His son, Dhruv, on most occasions stayed off the limelight but, is said to be an aspiring star and currently lives with his parents.

The NCB has been probing the drug racket ever since the unfortunate demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Several actors like Arjun Rampal, Bharti Singh and Rhea Chakraborty had landed in legal trouble for this.

As per the reports shared by ANI, Dhruv was in contact with the accused drug peddler, who goes by the name Muzammil Abdul Rehman, and had reportedly purchased drugs from him.

WhatsApp chats between Dhruv and Muzammil, were produced alongside bank transaction details by the agency.

The tweets on the case read, ‘Anti Narcotic Cell, Bandra Unit today arrested Dhruv Tahil, son of actor Dalip Tahil, in connection with a drug case. Further investigation is underway: Narcotic Control Bureau, Mumbai’.

On 20th April 2021, official from the Bandra unit had reportedly registered a case against Muzammil after 35 grams of Mephedrone (M.D) was found in his possession.

The Police later seized his phone, and the conversation Muzammil had with Dhruv came to light. In the conversation, Dhruv had asked for contraband substances.

According to the latest update, Dhruv will be produced before the Court on Thursday, 6th May 2021.
