Supreme Court dismisses PIL seeking Action against Muslim Community’s Forceful Conversion of Hindus

The Supreme Court of India has dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) for action against the Muslim Community for forceful conversion of people from Hindu to Muslim at Mewat Nuh District in Haryana.

The Bench comprising of Chief Justice of India NV Ramana, Justice AS Bopanna and Justice Hrishikesh Roy dismissed the petition observing that, “Sorry, we don’t think we can entertain this based on newspaper reports.”

Representing the petitioners, Senior Advocate Vikas Singh said his clients themselves visited the locality and analysed the situations and ascertained it with the news report.

The Bench exhibited aversion in entertaining the petition.

Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain has filed the petition stating that “Local police has failed to exercise powers as a result of which the life and liberty.”

In sought of action against infringing Fundamental Rights of the Hindus being in a receding position, the plea was filed for disabling the Muslim community.

For the investigation in the Mewat Nuh District, the plea directed for constituting a Special Investigating Team formed by members of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Plea demands for nullification of all sale deeds made under coercion and undue influence by Muslims upon Hindus in the last 10 years and also, restoration of temples in their original form.
