Blinken: Human Right Violation in India is Being Monitored by US

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has stated that in India some State Governments, Police Officials and Prison Authorities had Violated the Human Rights so US is Monitoring it.

These remarks were made after completion of 2+2 Ministerial where Blinken is with Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin with their Indian counter parts Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Minister S Jaishanker.

The opening remarks of Blinken “We are Monitoring some recent concerning developments in India, including a rise in Human Rights abuses by some Government, Police and Prison Officials.”

“We share a commitment to our Democratic Values, such as protecting Human Rights. We regularly engage with our Indian partners on these shared values.” Blinken said

Criticism which earlier made by Human Rights Agencies and Foreign Government that Civil liberties got corroded in India was rejected by the Country.

India has a Democratic value being world’s largest democracy and there are strong institutions which Defend everyone’s Right this was affirmed by the Indian government.

It was stressed by the Indian Government that in Under Indian Constitution various Statutes established to safeguard the Human Rights of everyone.
