BACKGROUND – Om Parkash Yadav is the current Social Justice and Empowerment Minister of Haryana with an additional Independent charge of Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department. He won the Haryana Assembly elections for two times in 2014 and 2019 from Narnaul Constituency.
Before a full time Politician, he was an Agriculture Development Officer (ADO). His favorite Subject is history and is fond of sports. He had been actively participating in Social Activities and is known for his social services and care of cows. He is also president of Haryana Yadav Mahasabha.
MAJOR INITIATIVES –
Project worth 3 crore 20 lakhs was completed in the villages of Kojinda, Mandana, Khanpur, Kawi and Dani Batota during his tenure as an MLA. The projects included the construction of roads, Gym Centre, Aaganbari Centre, Panchayat Bhawan, Community hall, Park, etc.
Under D-Plan scheme, inaugurated a new Panchayat building in AmarpurJorasi Gram.
Laid the foundation stone for the construction of Animal Hospital in DhaniBathota.
After the request of the MLA Om PrakashYadav to the Education Ministry of Haryana a decision to start the MSC Physics class in PG College, Narnaulwas taken in that year.
A girls’ college, a medical college, a trauma centre, an upgraded civil hospital and power houses were constructed in Narnaul during his term.
The facility to have canal-based drinking water has been provided to a cluster of 17 villages during his term.
