BACKGROUND –
Murgesh Rudrappa Nirani is an Indian Politician and currently he is serving as the Minister of Large and Medium Industries of Karnataka. He is also an MLA of Bilgi, Bagalkot and is a minister in the Government of Karnataka. He was born on 1st june 1965 in Bilgi. He associated with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Nirani was born in an agrarian family in Basava Hanchal of Bilgi taluk of Bagalkot district to Rudrappa and Sushilamma.
Talking about his education he has completed his BE in Civil Engineering and a Diploma in Business Management from Bombay University. He became one of the leading engineers of his village.
Nirani started his political career in a very early age he had joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh during his teenage years and has been a very important part of their political ideology. He says that he draws inspiration from the ideologies of Krishna Raja Wadiyari, the Maharaja of Mysore. In 2004 he contested his first election to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Biligi and recorded a unforgettable victory.
Apart from politics Nirani is also an entrepreneur he set up his first sugar factory in Bagalkot, with a capacity of crushing 500 tonnes of sugarcane per day. He is also the chairman of Nirani Group, which includes Nirani Sugars Ltd, Sai Priya Sugars Ltd, MRN Cane Power India Ltd., Nirani Cements Pvt. Ltd. and Bilagi Sugar Mill Ltd.
