BACKGROUND – Gopal Bhargava is an Indian politician who is currently serving as Minister of Public Works Department, Cottage & Rural Industry of Madhya Pradesh. He is Member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Rehli constituency. He has been the Member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Rehli Constituency consecutively for eight times.

He has served as a cabinet minister for 15 consecutive years in the Government of Madhya Pradesh. He started his political career with contesting election to the Municipal Council in Garhakota.

He has done his graduation in B.Sc. and Post-graduation in MA (Pol Science), and also has completed LL.B. from Dr. H.S. Gour University, Sagar.
