Ashok Choudhary is an Indian politician and a member of Janata Dal (United). His constituency is Barbigha. His father is Mahaveer Choudhary. Ashok Choudhary started his political career from the year 2000. In the 200 elections of Bihar Legislative Assembly, he won Barbigha as National Congress candidate. In the year 2013, Ashok was appointed as the chief of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee. Then, in the year 2014, he was elected as the member of Bihar Legislative Council. For a period of 2 years i.e. from the year 2015-2017, he was appointed as Minister of Department of Education and Department of Information Technology in Government of Bihar. But eventually in the year 2018, he left Indian National Congress and joined the Janata Dal (United) political party. On 2nd June, 2019 he was appointed as Minister of Building Construction Department, Government of Bihar. Currently, he is the member of the Bihar legislative Council.
