Justice Hima Kohli is set to become the first female Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court.
The sitting CJ Raghavendra Singh Chouhan is transferred to the Uttarakhand High Court.
Justice Hima Kohli is currently a judge in the Delhi High Court and has been appointed as the CJ of Telangana HC by the Supreme Court collegium.
Justice Kohli, born on September 2 in 1959, did her law in 1984 and was soon enrolled as an advocate in the Bar Council, Delhi.
In 2006, she was appointed as an additional judge in the Delhi High Court.
In August 2007, she was appointed as a permanent judge in the High Court.
She has been on a bench dealing with COVID-19 cases, and she has played a vital role by directing the government to conduct more tests in the Union Territory of Delhi.
