Delhi Sessions Court grants bail to 22-year-old climate change activist Disha Ravi in the farmers protest toolkit FIR.

Additional Sessions Judge Dharmender Rana passed the order for bail on Tuesday.

Delhi Police opposed the bail application citing concerns of evidence tampering and maintaining their stance of Ravi having conspired with pro-Khalistani agencies.

Ravi was arrested by the Delhi police on February 13th from Bangalore and has been detained by the Delhi Police since.

Appearing for Ravi, Advocate Sidharth Agarwal has been arguing for her bail application on grounds of her having no links with the Khalistani movement simply being a climate and agriculture activist.

The other co-accused Nikita Jacob and Shantanu Muluk already being released on transit bail were also emphasised as a point in favour of Ravi’s bail application.

The prosecution has opposed the bail, fearing to tamper of evidence and stating that Ravi is associated with pro-Khalistani groups like Poetic Justice Foundation and Sikhs for Justice.

The prosecution also spoke of the toolkit with Greta Thunberg whose tweet was what led to the discovery of a conspiracy according to the Delhi Police.

Additional Solicitor General SV Raju and Additional Public Prosecutor Irfan Ahmed represented the state.
