The Magistrate’s Court of Andheri has ordered inquiry into the social media posts of Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel for allegedly spreading communal hatred.

A complaint has been filed against the sister by Advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh.

In his complaint, Ali has said that both the sisters have millions of followers and are in a powerful position, alongwith high-level political contacts. He has gone on to say that they have previously implicated various other people like Hrithik Roshan, Aditya Pancholi etc.

His complaint read,

“Accused have now stooped cheap low and have indulged in unlawful illegal and criminal acts willingly by maliciously spreading and promoting enmity between different groups on the grounds of religion and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony in the country by the way of mysteriously and spitefully posting frivolous, derogatory and defamatory posts with the intent to outrage religious feelings of a class by insulting its religion or religious feelings”.

The Court has sought a police report and ordered inquiry against them under Section 202 CrPC.

Previously, a Bandra Court had also registered an FIR against the sisters and summoned them.

The case has been listed for December 5.
