Vaccine Scam: Bombay High Court directs BMC to find out effects of Vaccine Scam Victims

The High Court of Bombay has asked Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to check whether the victims of the vaccine scam racket have developed antibodies or not after hearing a PIL with regard to the problems faced by citizens in getting COVID-19 vaccination.

Recently a case was registered by a housing society which complained about a vaccine scam and being provided with fake certificates.

The Court was informed there was in total around 2,053 people were marked by the vaccine scam in Mumbai till now

The division bench consisting Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice GS Kulkarni has directed the agencies of the government to look upon the number of people being impacted by the vaccine scam and effects of immunization on the people.

The government was given time of one week to look upon this issue still, “Despite all your efforts, this has happened. So, what are you doing about it?” the Court gave its remark.

The court has given five days’ time to the investigating authorities in order to come up with some rigid plan in order to avoid such scams in future.
