Three government officials in Jammu and Kashmir have been dismissed from their positions following allegations of their involvement in terror-related activities. The three government employees, namely Faheem Aslam, Arshid Ahmad Thoker, and Murawath Hussain Mir, have been dismissed by invoking Article 311 (2) (c) of the Indian Constitution.
A comprehensive investigation has established their alleged affiliation with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and terrorist organizations.
One of the accused, Faheem Aslam, held the position of Public Relations Officer at the University of Kashmir. It has been revealed that he had previous associations with terrorist Shabir Shah and later engaged in legitimate business ventures with funds allegedly received from Pakistan’s ISI. Additionally, he has been actively writing for prominent newspapers and on social media platforms. Sources indicate that the content of his writings clearly reflected his intent to legitimize terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) and advocate for the secession of J-K from the Indian Union.
The second accused, Arshid Ahmad Thoker, joined the Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Armed Police department in 2006. After coming into contact with Over Ground Workers of the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), he allegedly became a conduit and logistic supporter for the terrorist organization.
The third accused, Murawath Hussain Mir, served in the revenue department. According to sources within the investigation team, he strongly advocated for secessionist ideologies and purportedly acted as a point-person for several banned terrorist outfits.
The government’s decision to invoke Article 311 (2) (c) of the Constitution of India and dismiss these individuals underscores its commitment to national security and upholding the integrity of public service.
