Supreme Court to hear a plea on Kolkata’s Fake Vaccine Drive

Snehal Upadhyay-

A plea has been approached to the Supreme Court against the orders of the High Court of Calcutta.

The Calcutta High Court dismissed a petition which wanted CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) to investigate the case of Fake vaccination drives camps in Kolkata.

These fake COVID-19 vaccination centres are run by a man who shows himself to be an IAS officer of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC).

“The high court failed to appreciate that the case is an example of deep-rooted conspiracy,” said the plea.

The petitioner has contended that the High Court has failed to take cognizance of this case, the case should be in the hands of CBI as it alleges the participation of several senior and influential political leaders of Trinamool Congress including the Department of Health and Family Welfare headed by CM Mamata Banerjee.
