A Special Court on Friday has sought response from the State Government over allowing inspection of electronic evidence seized in relation to a High Profile Honey Trap Case.

The Court of Special Judge (Prevention of Atrocities against SC/ST Act) Manoj Tiwari issued notice to the state government in an application of accused Shweta Vijay Jain and Barkha, who were present before the Court.

The Accused moved the application after the Indore Bench of MP High Court allowed it on a criminal revision Petition filed against a Special Court order allowing supply of electronic documents to the respondents by the State Government.

Justice Subodh Abhyankar, in an order dated April 27, however allowed the respondents in the Honey Trap Case and their lawyers to inspect the video evidence, they relied upon by the prosecution to prepare the case against them.

The Special Court further issued an arrest warrant against an accused Rupa for not being present before it while fixing the next date of hearing on June 24.

The alleged Honeytrap Gang was busted on September 17 and 18, 2019, when anti-terrorist squad Bhopal and crime branch Indore arrested five women and a male driver in two days on a complaint of then IMC Engineer Harbhajan Singh.
