In the humanitarian decision, the Mumbai Special NDPS Court granted interim relief to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend and flat-mate Siddharth Pithani, enabling him to leave the prison for a few days to attend his wedding.

Siddharth Pithani, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) last month in the Sushant narcotics case, had requested bail, citing his approaching wedding as a cause.

The Court considering Pithani’s bail plea granted him humanitarian relief between June 18 and July 2 to attend his wedding, according to NCB sources.

Sameer Wankhede, Zonal Director of the NCB, said Pithani has been granted a 10-day reprieve for his marriage but would have to surrender on July 2. Bail has not been given.

The NCB tracked down Pithani through a social media post and detained him on May 28 in Hyderabad for his suspected involvement in the Sushant Singh Rajput drug case. On June 14 of last year, he was the first to discover the actor hanging in his bedroom.

The NCB detained Sushant’s friend Rhea, his brother Showik, and additional staff members Samuel Miranda and Deepesh Sawant. Keshav and Neeraj, who were recently questioned by the NCB, have indicated Pithani’s involvement in the drug case.

Sushant died on June 14 of last year, and the police and other agencies’ inquiry into his death has been ongoing for the past year. Sushant’s family is pursuing numerous legal cases in the wake of his death, which has sparked a lot of suspicions.
