Self-styled godman Siva Sankar Baba sent to Judicial custody for 13 days

The founder of Sushil Hari International School in Kelambakkam and the self-styled godman Siva Sankar Baba who was accused in the case of sexual harassment has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days by Chennai Court.

There were several allegations put upon him by the students and alumni of his school following which three separate FIRs have been filed in the All-Women’s Police Station, Mamallapuram. 

There are several sections of the Prevention of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and include sexual assault which is framed in FIR against Siva Sankar.

Siva Sankar Baba was admitted to a hospital in Dehradun, Uttarakhand for a heart operation, during this time the case was immediately handed over to the CB-CID. As the CB-CID came to Dehradun, to detain the self-styled godman, he had already absconded from the hospital following his surgery

As soon as Siva Sankar Babaarrived in Delhi he was taken into the custody of the police and then he was brought to Chennai on Wednesday night.

After interrogation, Sankar was produced in front of Mahila Court, Chengalpattu, he filed a bail petition on the virtue of his health conditions but his bail petition was dismissed and he was remanded in judicial custody for 14 days.
